Error de sintaxis, inesperado '{' cuando se usa el Facebook PhP-SDK

Estoy tratando de obtener el proyecto Flash de mi equipo en Facebook, pero no puedo hacer que funcione ninguno de los ejemplos de PHP-SDK. He seguido varios ejemplos, como este nuevo en Github (aquí). Sin embargo, sigo recibiendo un error de análisis:

Descargué el último php-sdk. Aquí está la estructura de mi archivo:

Las únicas dos líneas que cambié en index.php son la aplicación y el secreto.

Obtuve el mismo error "inesperado '{'" al seguir este ejemplo.

Solución

Es muy probable que su servidor ejecute PHP4, el código proporcionado es para PHP5.

PHP4 no tiene bloques de prueba/captura.

Otros consejos

Si entras en "Facebook.php" y "base_facebook.php", faltan las etiquetas de cierre para PHP "?>" En la parte inferior de la página. He oído que esto causó problemas para algunos, y se solucionó cuando agregaron etiquetas cerradas. Puedes probar ;)
